I wanted to celebrated the century's old tradition of blacksmithing, bring it up to date and make it relevant to a new audience. So together with Made by the Forge we re-imagined an every day cage light by using design details and craft techniques unique to the forging process.

The solid iron is sourced in the UK and finished using the traditional method of coating the hot metal in beeswax - sourced locally from Suffolk bees. This technique enhances the the natural quality of the metal and highlights the details made from every hammer blow used to forge the lights.
